The land uses comprise all of the urban uses designated by the City of Fillmore for the land area within the City's corporate boundary, and the urban and rural land uses designated by the County of Ventura for the unincorporated areas within the City of Fillmore Area of Interest. City land uses include a range fo primarily urban types, including residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional. County land uses include a range of primarily rural types, including agriculture. However, some residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional uses occur in the County area as well.
Document Description
The proposed project is an update of the Land Use and Circulation Elements of the City of Fillmore's General Plan. The Land Use Element addresses the community's vision for development during the planning horizon, identified as the year 2020. It includes a map of proposed urban boundaries and planned land uses (Figure 2). It also contains goals, objectives and policies that will govern the growth of the City of Fillmore and the management of its resources. The Circulation Element contains proposed improvements and policies related to transportation issues, designed to accommodate development anticipated under the Land Use Element. The remmaining General Plan elements are not being updated at this time.
